Job Description

National Salvage & Service is a sustainable company; we recycle nearly all the material we salvage. National is a leading wholesale provider of used railroad ties and new railroad ties and other treated hardwood railroad track products, as well as recycled utility poles. National Salvage & Service Corporation is looking to hire an Environmental Supervisor for our Environmental Division.
Job Classification:
Non-Exempt Daytime Hours Regular Position 100% Travel Required Full Time (Hourly + Overtime as Needed)
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for running asbestos projects by overseeing workers on job site. Participate in the training of newly hired employees: Following training guidelines and realizing the importance of a well-trained employee to the success of the company/team morale. Making sure State and Federal asbestos regulations are followed. Completing daily paperwork. Running air samples and maintaining chain of custody. Frequent checks inside containment to maintain quality of work and making sure production is on time. Visual inspections of work after completion for quality and done according to regulations. Responsible for equipment and materials on the job site. Oversee disposal of asbestos-containing materials (Labeling and Doubling of materials is correct). Ensure jobsites are left clean of debris and trash and ready for the next subcontractors or reoccupation of owner. Manage time efficiently.
Qualifications:
Must work well with others on the team Follow all Safety Programs, Policies, and Procedures Able to consistently work 40 hours per week 2 years leadership experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
Stand, Walk, Climb, Bend, Twist, Move Throughout the Day, Use Hands in Repetitive Motions, Repeat Same Movements, walk on uneven terrain, Lift 50 pounds, Able to drive for long periods of time, Exposed to Loud Noises, and all-weather elements.
