Environmental issues often surface during construction, renovation, or daily building use. When they do, teams need clear information to keep moving forward. That is where we come in. At Wynn L. White Consulting Engineers, you will be part of projects in which conditions must be understood and documented in the field. You will work alongside contractors, facility teams, and project stakeholders to help bring clarity to situations that are not always straightforward. This is not desk work. It is field-based, fast-moving, and tied directly to how projects progress. What You'll Work On Projects may include: Asbestos air monitoring and bulk sampling Lead air monitoring and paint sampling Mold and moisture investigations Indoor environmental conditions affecting buildings and occupants The focus remains consistent. Understand what is happening, document conditions clearly, and support next steps so work can continue. Who This Role Fits This work fits people who: Prefer being in the field Stay steady when situations are unclear or changing Notice details others may miss Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teams Take responsibility for their work and follow through Experienced Asbestos Consulting Project Technician This role involves managing projects with multiple air monitoring technicians on asbestos and lead-related work, including air monitoring and bulk sampling. The ideal candidate has experience with asbestos inspection, air monitoring, and sample analysis, along with the ability to coordinate field activities across active projects.
Required:
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation High school diploma or
GED NIOSH 582
certification and experience with asbestos air sample analysis Louisiana DEQ Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor accreditation Louisiana DEQ Asbestos Inspector accreditation
Preferred:
TWIC card OSHA or GSHO training ExxonMobil Baton Rouge site orientation This role requires someone who is reliable, able to work with a team, communicates clearly, and can manage field responsibilities across changing project conditions. Flexibility for nights and weekends may be needed. Computer or tablet experience is helpful. If this fits your background, submit your resume for review.
