YOUR DAY TO DAY
: The EHS Specialist will collaborate and assist management, supervisors and other teams in creating a safety culture and ensuring each employee understands their role in creating a safe work environment where individuals look out for one another. They will ensure that the facility meets and exceeds all requirements pertaining to all environmental, health and safety policies, procedures, and programs including
OSHA, ANSI, EPA, MA DEP
& DPPS and any other pertinent regulatory regulations in order to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for all employees. They will provide pro-active leadership and guidance to all employees through actions and words.
YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
: Manage and implement all safety programs, compliance plans, and initiatives. Inspect hazardous material containers to determine compatible storage and operating procedures. Periodically reviews and updates hazardous materials storage requirements and performs audits of storage areas. Tracks hazardous waste shipping manifests to assure proper disposal and its documentation. Orders vendor services and co-ordinates pre-ship analysis; ensures proper state hazardous waste permits, vendor profiles, and purchasing requirements are in place.
YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE
: 2 years' education or experience in the EH&S or environmental compliance field. Strong organizational skills. Strong computer skills. This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a "U.S. Person" as defined under ITAR and EAR. In order to be a U.S. Person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
Salary Range:
$64,500 - $80,000/year
