The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely handling and removing asbestos materials in compliance with OSHA regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and environmental standards, as well as the ability to work effectively in various settings, including residential and commercial properties. The Asbestos Worker will also engage in mold remediation and restoration tasks as needed. Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of sites to identify asbestos-containing materials. Safely remove, encapsulate, or dispose of asbestos materials following established safety protocols. Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during abatement processes. Perform mold remediation tasks to ensure a safe and healthy environment for occupants. Collaborate with team members to build effective strategies for safe removal and restoration projects. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and safety measures implemented. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to asbestos abatement and mold remediation. Skills Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations regarding asbestos handling and removal. Experience in asbestos abatement techniques and procedures. Familiarity with mold remediation practices and restoration processes. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing situations on-site.
