In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely performing asbestos abatement, removal, and disposal processes in compliance with strict safety standards and environmental regulations. Your expertise will help ensure safe environments during construction, restoration, and mold remediation projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to health and safety initiatives while working on diverse projects that make a real difference in communities. Duties Prepare work sites by setting up containment barriers, ventilation systems, and safety equipment to prevent asbestos fiber release. Safely remove asbestos-containing materials following OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines and company protocols. Conduct asbestos abatement procedures including encapsulation, enclosure, or removal, with precision and care. Perform thorough inspections of work areas to identify asbestos hazards and ensure proper containment during projects. Properly package, label, and dispose of asbestos waste according to federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain detailed documentation of all abatement activities, safety inspections, and disposal records. Collaborate with construction or restoration teams to coordinate project timelines while prioritizing safety at all times. Experience 2+ years of proven experience in asbestos abatement or removal within construction, restoration, or environmental services. Good understanding of OSHA regulations related to asbestos handling and worker safety standards. Familiarity with asbestos abatement techniques including encapsulation, enclosure, and removal methods. Experience with mold remediation is a plus. Carpentry experience is a plus. Ability to operate specialized equipment such as HEPA vacuums, negative air machines, and containment barriers effectively. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to hazardous materials handling and disposal procedures. Certifications in asbestos abatement or related fields are highly preferred; ongoing training in OSHA standards is a plus. Join us in creating safer environments through expert asbestos management! Required Current and valid Asbestos License Valid Asbestos Certification Able to pass a physical and PFT Valid Driver's License Own Vehicle/Reliable Transportation A small set of own tools for work Part-time & Full-time positions available. References will be checked. Full-time employees can enroll in health, medical, and vision insurance after 90 days.
