What to Expect

Tesla is looking for highly motivated Universal Waste Technicians to perform a variety of duties relating to the identification, collection, transportation, processing, packaging, and preparing of recyclable materials, non-hazardous and universal wastes for storage and disposal. The ideal candidates are excellent communicators, self-driven and work well with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidates must also take pride in their analytical abilities, operational mindset, organizational skills and attention to detail. What You'll Do

Oversee the collection, packaging, labeling, testing, storing, transporting and disposal of recyclable materials, non-hazardous and universal wastes in accordance with applicable federal and Nevada regulations Inspect and maintain universal waste satellite accumulation and central accumulation storage areas Provide emergency spill response and cleanup Perform decontamination and equipment cleaning Ensure proper packaging of universal waste to maintain DOT compliance

Conduct pre-load preparation and Bill-of-Materials generation What You'll Bring

Perform collection of hazardous waste containers from commissioning/manufacturing processes, as required 3+ years of experience in high tech industry or similar manufacturing operations environment

HAZWOPER, DOT, RCRA

generator training Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure Ability to operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks and carts Ability to effectively interface with cross functional teams Essential Physical Demands Ability to up to lift up to 50 pounds ongoingly

Able to perform extensive standing, walking, climbing and lifting

Must be able to wear a respirator and pass medical examination to perform the job
