A Composites Technician is responsible for producing high-quality composite parts, molds, and tooling using a variety of materials, processes, and equipment. This role requires technical skill, attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Essential Position Responsibilities
  • Produce composite elements using hand layup methods and machine/chopper gun spray techniques
  • Manufacture FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) and silicone molds from foam sculpts
  • Cut, trim, and process composite tooling and finished parts
  • Properly prepare parts for spray coatings and final assembly
  • Use HVLP spray systems to apply mold releases, primers, and other coatings
  • Apply polyurethane hard-coat systems to foam sculpts
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of commonly used composite materials
  • Properly care for and maintain materials, tools, and equipment to maximize usable lifespan
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned General Responsibilities
  • Achieve and maintain working knowledge of Company operational software
  • Accurately complete and track production elements using company quality control (QC) documentation
  • Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) for all assigned tasks
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Consistently meet the Company's expected quality standards
  • Effectively multitask and prioritize objectives to meet production deadlines
Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
