We're growing our field team and looking for a Licensed Abatement Worker to join us in restoring properties affected by asbestos, mold, and other environmental hazards. This is a hands-on, safety-first role. You'll perform specialized cleanup and remediation work, follow strict OSHA and Oklahoma Department of Labor safety protocols, and represent Tec-An's reputation for dependability and professionalism while helping clients recover and rebuild — often during one of the most stressful situations they've faced. If you take pride in doing hazardous work the right way, every time, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities Perform asbestos abatement work in accordance with OSHA's asbestos construction standard (29 CFR 1926.1101) and the Oklahoma Asbestos Control Act, including removal of thermal system insulation, sprayed/troweled surfacing materials, floor tile, roofing, siding, and transite panels as assigned. Execute abatement procedures for mold, lead, and other hazardous materials using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection. Operate hand tools, power tools, and company vehicles to carry out cleaning, demolition, and restoration tasks effectively and safely. Assist with related cleaning tasks such as debris removal and surface sanitation, following all site-specific safety protocols. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and damage assessments as directed by your supervisor. Complete and maintain all required asbestos training/certification (EPA Model Accreditation Plan worker course, with annual refreshers) and participate in Tec-An's medical surveillance program as applicable to your role. Follow all safety protocols diligently — including required PPE and respiratory protection — to protect yourself, your crew, and the client's property. Skills & Qualifications Experience in the restoration or construction industry, ideally with hands-on abatement work (asbestos, lead, or mold). Current or ability to obtain Oklahoma asbestos worker certification (Tec-An can advise on training pathways for the right candidate). Strong understanding of PPE use, respiratory protection, and job-site safety protocols. Comfortable operating hand tools, power tools, and company vehicles safely. Strong customer service skills — able to communicate clearly and calmly with clients. Familiarity with water damage restoration, fire restoration, and mold remediation processes. Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical evaluation and drug screening, consistent with Tec-An's safety-sensitive workplace policy. Advancement opportunities exist as Tec-An grows. Why Tec-An For almost 40 years, Tec-An has built its reputation on Safety First, Integrity Always, and Customer Commitment. We're a close-knit team that takes care of our people and our clients — join us to build a career in a field where the work you do genuinely protects people and communities.
