The Corvallis Contractor provides a wide range of construction services and is seeking a Mitigation Technician to respond to emergency and non-emergency service jobs using advanced water and fire mitigation techniques and to remediate areas damaged by mold, water, or fire. Responsibilities include maintaining a fully stocked and prepared company vehicle, driving to work sites, obtaining required paperwork, preparing work areas for demolition and cleaning, setting up drying equipment, and continually monitoring moisture levels through project completion. What you'll do... Respond promptly to emergency and after-hours calls involving water, fire, flood, mold, and asbestos. Perform water extraction, emergency board-up, fire mitigation, flood cleanup, mold remediation, asbestos abatement, demolition, debris removal, heavy cleaning, carpet cleaning, and minor repairs. Prepare work areas, establish staging areas, set up and monitor drying equipment, and maintain safe, clean, and organized job sites. Use hand tools, power tools, specialized restoration equipment, and required personal protective equipment, including respiratory protection. Identify and mitigate job-site hazards while following all safety procedures and regulatory requirements. Communicate professionally with customers and relay relevant updates to the Project Manager and Superintendent. Complete required paperwork, upload documents, enter job updates, and use Xactimate for estimating and documentation as needed. Maintain the warehouse, equipment, tools, supplies, and consumable inventory in clean, organized, and working condition. Safely operate and maintain a clean, secure, fully stocked company vehicle for travel to job sites and on-call assignments. Experience Prior experience in the restoration industry or related construction fields is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of safety protocols including PPE use and respiratory protection standards Hands-on experience with water damage restoration, flood cleanup, fire restoration, mold remediation, or asbestos abatement is advantageous Familiarity with estimating software enhances your ability to accurately document work performed Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and company vehicles safely and efficiently Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence and emergency response readiness Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude toward helping clients through stressful situations We hope you'll consider joining our incredible team and culture as we to restore homes with 5-star quality and service.
Pay:
$22.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
