MONDAY - FRIDAY ONLY 7AM - 4PM
Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of shipyard areas to identify asbestos-containing materials and assess risk levels. Supervise and coordinate asbestos removal and containment procedures in compliance with industry safety standards and environmental regulations. Oversee cleaning, sanitation, and janitorial tasks related to asbestos abatement zones to ensure a safe and debris-free environment. Lead a team of workers in industrial cleaning activities, including hazardous material handling, ensuring all tasks are performed safely and efficiently. Implement safety protocols during asbestos removal projects, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety regulations. Manage daily operations related to custodial services, sanitation management, and general housekeeping within the shipyard. Provide managerial communication to coordinate with project managers, safety officers, and clients to ensure project milestones are met while maintaining high standards of customer service. Skills Proven experience in industrial cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services within a high-risk environment such as a shipyard or industrial facility. Strong leadership skills with experience supervising staff and managing teams effectively. Knowledge of safety regulations related to asbestos handling, environmental health standards, and sanitation practices. Excellent management abilities with experience in cleaning & sanitation management, team supervision, and leadership roles. Effective communication skills for supervising staff, coordinating with stakeholders, and delivering clear instructions on safety procedures. Background in hospitality or housekeeping management is advantageous for maintaining cleanliness standards in complex environments. Demonstrated ability to handle hazardous materials safely while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and protocols.
