, a well-established wholesale fuel and lubricant company with over 82 years in the industry, is currently seeking a Tank Maintenance Technician + Class A CDL Driver with Tanker and X endorsements to join our team.
Position Overview:
The Tank Maintenance Technician supports tank-related field operations, including inspection, cleaning, maintenance, and fabrication activities of all tank related operations. Repair and programing of card reading and electronic control systems, minor electrical wiring, Repair and installation of plumbing and piping. This role involves physically demanding work in industrial and confined-space environments while adhering to all company safety, health, and environmental policies. This position is also a Class A Driver and is responsible for the safe and efficient loading, transportation, and unloading of fuel products. This role requires a strong focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and customer service. This position is critical to maintaining safe and efficient warehouse operations while supporting ongoing transportation and delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with tank-related shop/field work including inspections, cleaning, and maintenance. Support general construction activities as required. Perform work in confined spaces and industrial environments. Load and unload fuel using the truck's transfer pump. Conduct and document pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Maintain accurate and up-to-date driving logs in compliance with DOT regulations. Follow all applicable federal, state, local, and company safety regulations. Deliver product to customer sites including convenience stores, oilfields, trucking companies, railroad yards, drilling rigs, and more. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and requirements. Minimum one year experience operating flatbed and tanker trucks while transporting hazardous materials. Minimum one year of warehouse experience handling hazardous materials, lubricants , and related products. Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and hazardous materials handling procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications:
Basic understanding of tank installations, pump repairs and metering systems associated with fuel/lube industry. Knowledge of the hazardous waste and fueling industry. Plumbing experience. Minor electrical wiring knowledge. Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and X (Hazmat) endorsements. Minimum of 3 years commercial driving experience, with at least 1 year driving a tanker. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Must be at least 23 years of age. Ability to lift, push and pull 50+ lbs, and work extended hours both indoors and outdoors. Willingness to work on a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays. Current and valid DOT medical card. Clean driving record (no more than one moving violation in the past 3 years). Solid knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices. Must pass background check and drug screening. What
