6:30am-3pm, M-F Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Coating Specialist to join our precision manufacturing team in Charlotte, NC. This is a hands-on position responsible for preparing, coating, inspecting, and maintaining components used in high-precision manufacturing applications. The ideal candidate has experience with thermal spray, plasma spray, or air spray coating equipment and understands the importance of precision, quality, safety, and following detailed technical instructions. Responsibilities Set up and operate manual and low-pressure plasma spray and/or air spray equipment. Apply coatings such as Chrome Oxide, Tungsten, and Aluminum Titania according to established specifications. Prepare components for coating through masking, hole filling, surface preparation, and abrasive blasting. Verify coating powder specifications and ensure proper powder feeder settings. Inspect feed lines, equipment settings, pressure gauges, and flow meters before and during the coating process. Monitor coating processes and make adjustments as needed to maintain consistent quality. Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment, including calipers and micrometers . Follow blueprints, work instructions, technical specifications, and quality procedures. Perform routine equipment maintenance, including changing nozzles, electrodes, and other consumable components. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all required PPE and respiratory protection procedures. Work closely with production and quality teams to meet production schedules and quality requirements. Identify and communicate equipment, process, or quality issues to appropriate personnel. Qualifications 1+ year of experience operating thermal spray, plasma spray, or air spray coating equipment preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on manufacturing experience. Ability to read and understand blueprints, work instructions, and technical documentation. Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to troubleshoot equipment and make process adjustments. Manufacturing or metalworking experience preferred. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hands-on work. Ability to wear required PPE, including a respirator. Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-precision manufacturing environment. Pay:

$27.00 - $28.00 per hour
