About the Role We are seeking an experienced Bench Jeweler to join our team and contribute to a wide range of custom jewelry, repair, and restoration work. This is an excellent opportunity for a jeweler who enjoys variety and wants to work beyond a production-line environment. Our ideal candidate has experience with custom jewelry manufacturing and vintage restoration and is comfortable working across multiple areas of the bench. You will work with a wide variety of metals, gemstones, repairs, and custom projects while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship and attention to detail. This is a non-customer-facing bench position. Our front desk team and designers handle client communication, allowing our jewelers to focus on their craft. What You'll Do Perform high-quality jewelry repairs, restorations, and custom manufacturing Work on custom pieces throughout the manufacturing process, including casting, setting, and finishing Execute stone setting across a variety of shapes, sizes, and stone types, including fancy and higher-value stones Perform ring sizing, retipping, prong rebuilding, chain repairs, and other detailed jewelry repairs Work confidently with gold, silver, platinum, and other metals Utilize laser welding equipment and advanced bench techniques Polish and finish jewelry to a high standard Work comfortably under a microscope for detailed repairs and finishing Approach vintage restoration with care and an understanding of the unique challenges involved with older jewelry Manage your workflow independently while maintaining consistent quality and attention to detail Collaborate with other members of the production team to bring custom designs from concept to finished piece What We're Looking For 3+ years of bench jewelry experience highly preferred Strong experience with custom jewelry work, repairs, and restoration Experience working with vintage jewelry and an understanding of the unique considerations involved in restoration Proficiency in stone setting, casting, finishing, polishing, and general jewelry repair Experience with laser welding or a willingness to develop advanced laser techniques Ability to work with a variety of metals and gemstones Strong technical skills with excellent attention to detail Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team A genuine appreciation for craftsmanship and creative problem-solving Jewelry school or formal technical training is not required. We are open to candidates who have developed their skills through hands-on experience, apprenticeships, self-directed training, or other paths into the trade.
