Jewelry Bench Worker / Store Associate We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and detail-oriented Jewelry Bench Worker / Store Associate to join our team in Chicago. This position combines hands-on jewelry bench work with daily store responsibilities, including opening and closing the store, assisting customers when needed, and helping maintain a clean and professional retail environment. Responsibilities of the Jewelry Bench Worker / Store Associate Perform jewelry repairs, adjustments, and general bench work Ring sizing, chain and clasp repairs, stone tightening, polishing, cleaning, and refinishing Inspect jewelry and identify necessary repairs or maintenance Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jewelry bench and work area Assist with jewelry drop-offs, pickups, and customer needs when necessary Accurately document and track jewelry and repair orders Assist with general day-to-day store operations Open and close the jewelry store as scheduled Follow all store security, alarm, safe, and merchandise-handling procedures Properly handle and safeguard high-value merchandise and customer property Assist with daily store cleaning and upkeep , including cleaning display cases, counters, work areas, floors, and other areas as needed Keep the showroom, bench area, and back-of-house areas clean, organized, and presentable Assist the team with additional store duties as needed Qualifications of the Jewelry Bench Worker / Store Associate Previous jewelry bench, jewelry repair, or goldsmith experience required Experience with common jewelry repairs and bench tools Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Reliable, punctual, trustworthy, and responsible Comfortable handling high-value jewelry and merchandise Good communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willing to assist with cleaning and general store upkeep Comfortable being entrusted with store opening and closing responsibilities Schedule Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 9:30 AM - 7:00

Off Sunday:

Closed Candidates must be available to work the full scheduled hours.

Compensation Starting Pay:

$22/hour Potential for increased compensation based on experience, skill level, and performance. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship and understands that being part of a small retail team means helping wherever needed to keep the store clean, organized, secure, and running smoothly.

Pay:

$22.00 - $27.00 per hour
