full-time We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bench Jewelerto join our team. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of jewelry repairs, restoration services, stone setting, and custom jewelry projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship and quality. Key Responsibilities Perform a wide variety of jewelry repairs, restoration, and maintenance. Repair and work with gold, silver, platinum, and other precious metals. Perform ring sizing, soldering, stone setting, prong repair, chain repair, clasp replacement, and other common jewelry repairs. Restore damaged, worn, or vintage jewelry while maintaining its original design and integrity. Create custom jewelry pieces based on concepts, sketches, designs, or customer requests. Modify and redesign existing jewelry into new custom pieces. Set diamonds and various gemstones using appropriate setting techniques. Work with a variety of metals, stones, settings, and jewelry styles. Perform polishing, finishing, buffing, and final quality inspections. Evaluate repair issues and determine the appropriate repair method. Handle valuable customer and company merchandise with the highest level of care. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workbench. Properly maintain and care for jewelry tools and equipment. Complete repairs accurately and within established deadlines. Collaborate with sales associates and management to understand customer repair and custom-order requirements. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets established quality standards. Qualifications & Skills 3+ years of professional bench jewelry experience preferred. Strong experience performing a wide range of jewelry repairs. Strong soldering and jewelry fabrication skills. Hands-on experience with stone setting and gemstone handling. Demonstrated experience creating custom jewelry pieces is required. Proficiency working with gold, silver, platinum, and other precious metals. Strong knowledge of jewelry construction, repair techniques, and finishing processes. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve difficult or complex jewelry repairs. Excellent attention to detail, precision, and craftsmanship. Ability to work independently while managing multiple repair and custom projects. Experience working with diamonds and fine jewelry is strongly preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Commitment to quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
