Job Description

Dick's Pawn Shop has been in business for over 30 years and has 5 locations along the Grand Strand. We have an established loyal clientele. We provide an excellent working environment including a positive and professional team, competitive pay, medical plan, as well as 401K retirement. Our Jewelers including commission make on average between $75,000 to $95, 000 a year and work a 45-hour workweek. You control how much you make by communicating and selling jobs to customers out of your own shop. We are looking for someone who has the passion and desire to create and fix some beautiful pieces. Description
  • Repairs broken clasps, pins, rings, and other jewelry by soldering or replacing broken parts
  • Enlarges or reduces the size of rings by sawing through the band, adding or removing metal, and soldering ends together
  • Solders pieces of jewelry together, using a soldering torch or iron
  • Cuts, saws, files, and polishes articles, using hand tools and a polishing wheel
  • Reshapes and restyles old jewelry, following designs or instructions, using hand tools and machines, such as jeweler's lathe and drill
  • Fabricates and repairs jewelry articles, such as rings, brooches, pendants, bracelets, and lockets: forms model of an article from wax or metal, using carving tools Requirements
  • Communicates well both written and verbally
  • Must have the ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Greeting customers in a friendly manner when they come to the Jeweler's window
