Jo & Co. Jewelers is seeking an experienced Jeweler to join our established team in beautiful Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled bench jeweler who takes pride in quality craftsmanship and is looking for a stable, long-term position with a family-oriented, collaborative team. We are looking for a professional who can step into an active bench environment and contribute immediately to our repair and fabrication work. Position Summary The Jeweler will be responsible for performing a variety of jewelry repairs, alterations, and fabrication work while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. This position is primarily bench-focused and is not a sales role. Responsibilities Perform jewelry repairs including sizing, soldering, stone setting, chain repair, and restoration work Complete alterations and modifications to jewelry sold in-store Perform fabrication and light custom jewelry work Evaluate jewelry and determine repair needs Maintain quality control standards and attention to detail Communicate with management regarding repair timelines and special projects Collaborate with sales staff when clarification is needed regarding repairs or customer requests Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment Qualifications Previous bench jeweler experience required Strong repair and fabrication skills Experience performing a wide range of jewelry repairs independently Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship Professional communication skills and positive team attitude Experience with custom work is a plus Casting experience is a plus but not required Compensation & Benefits $60,000 - $85,000 annually , based on experience and qualifications Potential relocation assistance for qualified candidates 3% IRA match Employer contribution toward employee health insurance Paid vacation Paid sick time Stable, supportive work environment with long-tenured staff Why Join Jo & Co.
