Competitive pay based on experience Join One of America's Traditional Jewelry Manufacturers Hugo Kohl Jewelry is seeking an experienced Goldsmith / Bench Jeweler to join our growing team in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Since 1991, we have specialized in handcrafted fine jewelry, custom design, die-struck wedding bands, restoration, and traditional jewelry manufacturing. This is an opportunity to work in a professional workshop where craftsmanship comes first. You'll work on a wide variety of projects, including custom jewelry, heirloom restorations, repairs, stone setting, and traditional die-struck manufacturing techniques. You'll also have opportunities to meet directly with customers to discuss repairs, custom projects, and design ideas, helping bring their vision to life. Responsibilities Fabricate and assemble fine jewelry Perform jewelry repairs and restorations Solder, size, file, shape, and finish precious metals Polish and refinish completed pieces Set diamonds and colored gemstones Hand engrave and perform detailed finishing work (experience preferred) Work with traditional die-striking and fabrication techniques (training available) Meet with customers to discuss custom jewelry, repairs, and design consultations when needed Maintain exceptional quality and attention to detail throughout every project Qualifications Previous experience as a Bench Jeweler, Goldsmith, Stone Setter, or Jewelry Fabricator Strong soldering and fabrication skills Experience with jewelry repair and restoration Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship Strong communication and customer service skills Excellent attention to detail and pride in your work Experience with stone setting, casting, hand engraving, or custom jewelry is a plus Tools & Skills Experience using professional jewelry equipment, including: Bench jeweler's tools Magnification systems Polishing and finishing equipment Casting and fabrication tools Jewelry repair equipment Chemical finishing and cleaning processes Why Join Hugo Kohl?
