We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Bench Jeweler & Casting Specialist who can work independently at the bench and help us build a reliable local production operation. We already have a dedicated CAD department. This position is focused primarily on casting, bench work, stone setting, finishing, repairs, and quality control. Responsibilities Perform lost-wax/investment casting in gold and sterling silver Handle spruing, investing, burnout, casting, cleanup, and finishing Work from production-ready STL/CAD designs and printed wax/resin patterns Perform jewelry repairs including ring sizing, soldering, prong repair/rebuilding, chain repair, restoration, and general bench work Set diamonds and gemstones using appropriate setting techniques Perform high-quality polishing and final finishing Perform specialty finishes such as diamond cuts and diamond-dust/textured finishes when experienced Electroplating experience is a plus Inspect completed work for porosity, surface defects, stone security, finish quality, and overall workmanship Help establish repeatable production and quality-control procedures Potentially assist in training and building additional bench/casting capacity as production grows What We're Looking For We are looking for an experienced jeweler who understands that quality comes before speed. Strong candidates should have hands-on experience with: Gold and sterling silver casting Lost-wax/investment casting Jewelry repair Soldering and ring sizing Stone setting Polishing and refinishing Jewelry assembly and finishing Quality control Experience with diamond cutting, diamond-dust finishes, electroplating, and production manufacturing is highly desirable. A major area we are developing is an STL-based grillz manufacturing operation. Previous grillz experience is not required. We already have the CAD side established and will provide the production specifications and quality standards. This is an on-site opportunity in Renton, Washington. We are initially looking for part-time/contract support with a flexible schedule, with the potential for a larger long-term role as the operation grows. We are looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, communicates well, and is interested in helping build something—not simply completing individual jobs.
Pay:
$35.00 - $45.00 per hour
