Physical Efforts and Working Conditions:

Considerable physical effort is expended to maneuver large equipment such as safes, door hardware, key cutting machines, into and out of specific locions while dismantling and reassembling. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Occasionally lifts objects weighing more than 75 pounds to set up work and equipment needed to complete tasks. Hoists, holders, and pulleys are opered when removing units such as large motors, compressors, condensers, chillers, switchboards, and transformers. Necessary repairs and installions may be made from ladders, scaffolding, lifts and plforms where the parts of systems worked are frequently in hard-to-reach places requiring stooping, stretching, bending, and kneeling for extended periods of time. Incumbent climbs ladders and must be able to climb stair towers greer than 100 feet. Accessing work sites often requires walking more than three miles throughout the day and stepping over objects. Incumbent works in confined areas such as tics, near ceilings, in utility corridors, etc. Makes repairs and installions from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, plforms and under floors and crawlspaces and where the systems and equipment worked are hard-to-reach.
