Responsibilities:

• Repair, replace, and install doors, hardware, and locks.
• Provide lock and hardware strategy recommendations to project managers.
• Coordinate work orders with contractors, the Lead Locksmith, and carpenters.
• Procure locks, doors, and hardware.
• Design and manage the campus key system hierarchy (commercial and state institutional master key systems).
• Maintain accurate database for hardware, locks, keys, and doors.
• Collaborate with suppliers for technical support, warranty issues, and staff training.
• Ensure ADA and Florida Building Code compliance for hardware, locks, and doors.
• Assist the carpentry shop with event setup, roof/window/door maintenance, and other light carpentry tasks.
• Adhere to all recognized safety practices and standards.
• Assist other trades as needed.
• Comply with all rules, procedures, and governing laws and regulations.
• Provide courteous, professional, and accessible service excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 4 years of related work experience. (Vocational/technical training may substitute for required experience.)
• Training in specific campus lock/exit devices; Registered Locksmith status is preferred.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must possess a valid Florida Class E Operator driver's license and be authorized to drive for the college.
