Responsibilities:
- Repair, replace, and install doors, hardware, and locks.
- Provide lock and hardware strategy recommendations to project managers.
- Coordinate work orders with contractors, the Lead Locksmith, and carpenters.
- Procure locks, doors, and hardware.
- Design and manage the campus key system hierarchy (commercial and state institutional master key systems).
- Maintain accurate database for hardware, locks, keys, and doors.
- Collaborate with suppliers for technical support, warranty issues, and staff training.
- Ensure ADA and Florida Building Code compliance for hardware, locks, and doors.
- Assist the carpentry shop with event setup, roof/window/door maintenance, and other light carpentry tasks.
- Adhere to all recognized safety practices and standards.
- Assist other trades as needed.
- Comply with all rules, procedures, and governing laws and regulations.
- Provide courteous, professional, and accessible service excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Training in specific campus lock/exit devices; Registered Locksmith status is preferred.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Must possess a valid Florida Class E Operator driver's license and be authorized to drive for the college.
