Job description:

We are seeking a skilled Locksmith Technician to join our team. The technician will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining locks, safes, and security systems for residential, commercial, and automotive clients. Duties include key cutting, lock rekeying, emergency lockout assistance, and providing security consultations. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, Repair, and Maintain Locks

• Install, service, repair, and replace a variety of mechanical locks and locking hardware for commercial and residential properties. Rekey and Master Key Systems
• Perform lock rekeying, key duplication, and create or maintain master key systems as required. Emergency Lockout Assistance
• Respond promptly to lockout situations using safe and non-destructive entry techniques whenever possible. Door Hardware Installation and Repair
• Install, adjust, repair, and replace door hardware, including hinges, door closers, panic bars, exit devices, deadbolts, mortise locks, and cylindrical locks. Troubleshooting and Diagnostics
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning locks, cylinders, keys, and door hardware to ensure proper operation. Key Cutting and Lock Assembly
• Cut keys, assemble lock cylinders, and perform lock modifications as needed. Preventive Maintenance
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of locks and door hardware to ensure reliability and longevity. Documentation and Customer Service
• Complete service reports, maintain accurate records of work performed, and provide professional, courteous service to customers. Tool and Equipment Maintenance
• Maintain locksmith tools, equipment, and company vehicles in clean, safe, and proper working condition. Compliance and Safety
• Follow company safety procedures and ensure all work complies with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent (required). Certification in locksmithing or relevant training is preferred but not required.

Experience:

At least [1] years of experience in locksmithing or a related field (preferred).

Technical Skills:

Proficient in installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of locks and security systems. Experience with key cutting, rekeying, and duplicating keys. Knowledge of electronic access control systems and keyless entry technology.

Problem-Solving Abilities:

Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and fix security system issues quickly and accurately.

Customer Service Skills:

Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach. Ability to provide professional consultations and recommend security solutions to clients.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry tools and equipment. Comfort with working in various environments (residential, commercial, automotive).

Other Requirements:
