General Manager - Locksmith Company Houston, TX | Full-Time | Locksmith Experience

We are not looking for a general manager from another industry who wants to learn locksmithing. We are looking for someone who already understands the locksmith business, technicians, customers, pricing, dispatching, sales, and day-to-day operations. About the Position We are an established locksmith company in Houston with multiple mobile technicians operating throughout the area. We are looking for an experienced Locksmith General Manager who can take responsibility for the daily operation of the company and help us continue to grow. This is not simply an office manager or dispatcher position. We need someone with the experience, leadership, energy, and judgment to manage multiple locksmith technicians at the same time and take ownership of the operation. The right person should understand how a locksmith company actually operates in the field — including residential, commercial and automotive service calls, technician performance, dispatching, customer service, pricing, sales and problem resolution. Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate multiple locksmith technicians
• Oversee daily scheduling and dispatching
• Monitor technicians' jobs, performance, sales and customer service
• Make sure jobs are handled properly from the initial call through completion
• Communicate with technicians throughout the day
• Handle customer issues, complaints and difficult situations
• Help technicians with pricing and job-related decisions
• Follow up on estimates, leads and unfinished opportunities
• Monitor company performance and identify problems
• Recruit, train and help develop technicians when necessary
• Create accountability and maintain high company standards
• Work directly with the owner on growth, systems and profitability
• Take increasing responsibility for the company's day-to-day operations

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

You must have:

• Minimum 2 years of direct locksmith industry experience
• Strong understanding of how a mobile locksmith company operates
• Experience working with or managing multiple locksmith technicians
• Knowledge of residential, commercial and automotive locksmith services
• Strong sales and customer-service skills
• Ability to make decisions quickly and solve problems
• Leadership skills and the ability to hold technicians accountable
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• High energy, positive attitude and a strong work ethic Management experience within a locksmith company is strongly preferred.
