Responsible for completing locksmith and related duties necessary to keep the District
physical facilities in good repair and in use for their intended purpose.
1. Prepares all assigned tasks to ensure the effective, safe, and efficient completion of job assignment.
2. Orders parts and materials after determining needs and requirements for the assigned job.
3. Installs, maintains, and repairs all locks, door hardware, and key distribution safely and securely.
4. Cuts keys as needed after approval.
5. Maintain inventory of repair parts and maintain appropriate records of key control.
6. Responds to emergency call-outs, as required. (7 days a week/24 hours a day)
7. May be required to work night and/or varying shifts.
8. Keeps vehicle supplied with tools and materials.
9. Follows all safety regulations related to any trade areas.
10. Performs other general maintenance duties as assigned by supervisor, including, but not limited to, responding to and assisting with emergencies or crises.
Background requirements:
Candidates must pass a drug screen and background check. (Due to the nature of the employer's business, company policy requires that candidates with a criminal background will not be considered for employment.)
