CNC Machinist

Job Description

Job Summary HY-Grade, a manufacturer of high quality industrial valves and components, is seeking an experienced CNC machinist to join our production team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC lathes and/or mills with Okuma and Fanuc controls in a precision manufacturing environment. Duties Set up, operate and adjust CNC machines (lathes/mills) using Okuma and Fanuc controls. Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings. Select and install tooling, fixtures and work holding for jobs. Perform offsets, tool changes and programming edits as needed. Monitor machine operations, inspect parts to ensure dimensional and finish requirements are met. Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, etc). Qualifications 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a production or job shop environment preferred. Experience with Okuma and Fanuc controls preferred. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T., and work to tight tolerances. Proficiency with precision measuring tools and strong math skills. Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods High school diploma or GED required, technical training a plus.
