Job Requirements Experience planning and performing setup, layout, and operation on manual/conventional machine tools Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and sketches Ability to interpret GD&T and verify drawing dimensions and tolerances Ability to select, align, and secure fixtures, cutting tools, and materials for machining operations Ability to set up and run manual mills, lathes, jig bores, band saws, and related equipment U.S. citizenship with ability to attain and maintain government security clearance Preferred Skills Experience manufacturing jigs, fixtures, dies, molds, machine tools, cutting tools, gauges, and production tooling Basic knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100 quality systems Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methods Job Responsibilities Plan assignments including layout, setup approach, and operation sequence for manual machining work Machine and shape metal to precision dimensions using conventional equipment Review drawings to confirm dimensional requirements, tolerances, and GD&T prior to machining Select workholding and cutting tools; align and secure fixtures and materials to machines Manufacture and repair production tooling including jigs, fixtures, dies, molds, gauges, and related tools Perform tool adjustments and process corrections to maintain dimensional conformance Verify parts and tooling using appropriate measurement methods and document results per requirements Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
