Job Description

Overview:
We are hiring an experienced CNC Machinist for our Northport, AL facility on 2nd shift. This role requires independently completing complex CNC setups, including tooling selection, workholding, offsets, and program verification, on Fanuc controlled equipment. You will machine carbon steel and aluminum parts to tight tolerances in a fast paced production environment. Why join us? Compensation Pay based on experience Shift 2nd Shift, Monday to Friday; 3:30 pm - 12:00 am Requirements Responsibilities Complete complex CNC machine setups from start to finish, including tooling selection, workholding, offsets, and program verification. Set up, operate, program, and troubleshoot CNC equipment with Fanuc controls. Read and interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and geometric tolerances. Machine precision parts while consistently maintaining tight tolerances. Inspect first-piece and in-process parts using wing calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring instruments. Accurately indicate vises, fixtures, and workpieces. Make necessary programming, tooling, and offset adjustments to maintain quality and productivity. Identify and correct machining or setup issues with minimal supervision. Maintain accurate production and inspection records. Follow all quality, safety, and housekeeping procedures. Work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Required Qualifications At least three years of CNC machining experience; three to five years preferred. Proficiency with Fanuc controls and CNC programming. Demonstrated ability to perform complex CNC setups independently from start to finish. Experience machining precision parts to tight tolerances. Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications. Experience indicating vises, fixtures, and workpieces. Proficiency using wing calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment. Experience machining carbon steel and aluminum. Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work efficiently and maintain quality in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications Mastercam programming experience. Experience operating and setting up CNC mills and CNC lathes. Experience with 3-, 4-, or 5-axis CNC equipment. Working knowledge of GD&T.
