Job Description

Position Overview A leading industrial equipment manufacturer is seeking a full-time Machinist for an on-site role. The Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and components. The ideal candidate will have strong machining skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other machining equipment Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications Calibrate and maintain machining equipment Perform quality inspections and measurements using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges Troubleshoot machining issues and ensure accurate production of parts Maintain a clean and safe work environment Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to meet quality and delivery requirements Follow all safety policies and manufacturing procedures Qualifications Proficiency in operating lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other machining tools Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications Experience using precision measuring instruments Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining techniques and manufacturing processes Knowledge of machining safety standards and best practices Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Good communication and teamwork skills High School Diploma or GED required Technical or vocational training in machining is preferred Experience in industrial manufacturing environments such as oil & gas, process equipment, or water/wastewater equipment is a plus Must have the ability to operate STATE machinery

$18-$20 per hour
