What You Will Do:
The Aftermarket Repair organization (PSD) located in Springdale, AR is looking for a Machinist Technician for AWW Shift (weekend). Shift hours are Friday-Sunday, 6:00AM-6:30PM. You will receive a shift differential when working on AWW shift of 8. Employees are subject to train on 1st shift. 1st shift hours are Monday-Friday, 6:30AM-3:00PM.
PSD is a clean, well-lit, state-of-the-art machining center in a climate-controlled facility. Overtime opportunity may be available, after a period of training. Pratt & Whitney PSD is an FAA regulated facility, and compliance with such rules is a condition of employment.
Set-up and operate conventional, special purpose, and computerized numeric control (CNC) machines to fabricate and repair metallic and non-metallic parts.
Read blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications to determine machine and set-up requirements.
Set-up and prepare includes: set up of fixtures, tools, attachments, and accessories.
Operator level maintenance of machine and set up documents.
Use measuring devices like micrometers, calipers, to ensure specifications are met.
Maintain a clean work environment
Qualifications You Must Have:
HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 2 years of machining experience.
Previous experience/training reading blueprints, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine machining and set-up requirements.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Technical trade school degree in machining
Training to include set-up of fixtures, tools, attachments, and accessories.
5 years of machining experience
5-axis horizontal or vertical milling experience
Experience with VTL, Lathes, and/or Mills
FANUC Controller experience
