MACHINING LINE BORING WELDING HEAVY MINING EQUIPMENT

Put your machining & mechanical maintenance skills to work at a large-scale open-pit copper mining operation in Morenci, Arizona. We're looking for an experienced Machinist with hands-on experience in machining, line boring, welding, cutting, mechanical troubleshooting & equipment repair . You'll support Mechanical Field Services , perform routine maintenance, operate machine shop equipment & help keep heavy mining equipment operating safely. What You'll Do Perform routine maintenance, mechanical maintenance & equipment repair Operate machine shop equipment including lathes, milling machines, band saws & drill presses Perform lathe operation, milling machine operation & horizontal milling Perform line boring, welding & cutting Troubleshoot mechanical issues & develop solutions to maintenance problems Complete work orders & maintenance documentation Follow established maintenance procedures & safety procedures Train & mentor maintenance employees Provide employee training & maintenance mentoring as needed What You Bring 4+ years of experience as a Machinist, Line Borer, Welder, Boilermaker or related mechanical trade Strong mechanical aptitude & hands-on mechanical maintenance skills Proficiency in welding & cutting Experience with machine shop equipment including: 11", 20", 24" & 32" lathes Milling machines Horizontal milling machines Marvel band saws Drill presses Ability to perform mechanical troubleshooting & equipment repair Ability to understand & follow written/verbal work & safety instructions in English Ability to communicate effectively regarding job assignments, maintenance procedures & safety requirements Preferred Experience High School Diploma or GED Experience working on Komatsu 4100XPA, 4100XPB/C & 4100 XPC/AC electric shovels Experience working on Epiroc
