This role involves operating and setting up precision machining equipment to produce high-quality aerospace components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal machining, CNC programming, and mechanical blueprint interpretation, with 3-5 years of relevant experience or formal training. Duties Operate machining tools, including CNC machines and manual equipment, to produce aerospace parts with precision and accuracy. Set up machines for production runs, ensuring proper calibration and alignment according to specifications. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements. Perform CNC programming tasks to create or modify machining programs for efficient production. Conduct precision measurements during machining processes using appropriate measurement tools to ensure parts meet strict tolerances. Engage in milling, drilling, and other metal machining operations as required for component fabrication. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures. Troubleshoot machine issues and perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime. Skills Proficiency in operating machining tools, including CNC and manual machines. Strong understanding of mechanical blueprint interpretation and technical drawings. Experience with CNC programming and setup for aerospace manufacturing applications. Skilled in precision measurement techniques using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools. Knowledge of milling, drilling, and metal machining processes.
