Atwater, CA Responsibilities:
Make parts to specifications using a CNC lathe and mill, shaper, and grinder. Measure, examine, and test completed units to find any defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments. Set up, adjust, and operate specialized and advanced machine tools. Align and secure machine holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials. Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process. Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine the sequence of methods and operations necessary to fabricate products. Lay out, measure, and mark metal stock to display the placement of cuts. Observe operating machines/equipment to diagnose malfunctions and make adjustments or repairs. Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment. Dismantle machines/equipment. Set controls to regulate machining, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media. Fit and assemble parts to make or repair tool machines. Set up and operate metalworking, brazing, heat-treating, welding, and cutting equipment. Physical Requirements Ability to perform physical work for extended periods of time Ability to lift or move heavy objects Repeatedly perform physical operations, including pushing, pulling, gripping, twisting, reaching, bending, stacking, and turning.
