$27.00 - $50.00 per hour Get a glimpse of our shop and team: Watch our video About the Job We're looking for an experienced Machinist/ Shop Lead for our Night Shift to lead our manufacturing team. In this role, you'll combine hands-on CNC machining expertise with production leadership, overseeing night shift operations while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery of precision aerospace components. This position is ideal for a skilled machinist who enjoys mentoring others, solving production challenges, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What You'll Do Lead and support the night shift manufacturing team to a achieve production, quality, and safety goals Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to machinists and operators Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills Load tools, fixtures, and materials accurately Read blueprints and apply shop math for precise machining Adjust offsets and edit programs when needed Inspect parts to ensure they meet specs and quality standards Follow all machining safety practices Assist in R D and prototype work (if experienced) Collaborate with the team on improvements and efficiency Conduct shift handoffs and communicate production status, equipment issues, and priorities to day shift leadership Assist with employee training and development What You Need 3 - 5 years of CNC machining experience or relevant training Previous manufacturing leadership or shop lead experience preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints Understanding of speeds, feeds, and tooling concepts Familiarity with G-code and CNC controls Strong attention to detail and quality CAD/CAM (Mastercam, SolidWorks) experience is a plus Physical Requirements Stand, walk, and use hands frequently Lift up to 50 lbs when needed
