Camarillo, CA Job Details Full-time $27 - $30 an hour 3 days ago Benefits Paid time off Opportunities for advancement Qualifications Machine setup No experience needed Milling machines Plastics Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description Growth Opportunity in Setup & Mastercam Programming We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / Operator who is interested in developing toward more advanced CNC setup and programming responsibilities. The ideal candidate should have solid hands-on CNC machining experience, understand machine setup, tooling, workholding, speeds and feeds, and be able to read engineering drawings and inspect precision parts. Some familiarity with Mastercam is preferred. Formal Mastercam programming experience is not required, but candidates should have a strong mechanical aptitude and interest in expanding their capabilities over time. This is a hands-on machining position first. Programming opportunities will grow based on experience, ability, and demonstrated performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate CNC mills and lathes Assist with machine setups and job changeovers Load tools, set offsets, and verify machining operations Machine parts from engineering drawings and setup instructions Perform in-process inspection using precision measuring equipment Make basic offsets and dimensional corrections as needed Maintain quality and productivity during production runs Develop stronger CNC setup skills and gain additional Mastercam exposure based on experience and demonstrated ability
QUALIFICATIONS
Prior CNC machining or machine operation experience required Ability to read engineering drawings and basic GD&T Familiarity with precision measuring instruments Basic understanding of tooling, workholding, speeds, and feeds
HAAS CNC
experience preferred Some familiarity with Mastercam preferred, but not required Reliable, motivated, mechanically inclined, and willing to learn Must be able to work effectively within a small manufacturing team This position is well suited for someone who already understands CNC machining and wants the opportunity to grow into stronger setup and programming responsibilities over time.
Pay:
$27.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week
