- Shift is 6am-2:30pm PST Manufacturing Machinist Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Machinist to join our dynamic production team for a
MAJOR AUTOMOTIVE CLIENT.
In this role, you will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining various machining equipment to produce precision metal components. Your expertise will ensure that parts meet strict quality standards and specifications, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in CNC and manual machining techniques, and a commitment to safety and quality. Manufacturing Machinist Responsibilities- Review, drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output.
- Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job in liaison with the facility planners.
- Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping.
- Select appropriate machines (e.g. lathes, Mill, grinder etc..) and position or load material for a job.
- Select tools and cutting conditions. Generate and maintain programs.
- Define and manufacture tooling fixture/JIG required to manufacture the parts.
- Check output to ensure consistency with specifications. Request confirmation from QC.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages or solicit intervention from the maintenance department.
- Operate the machines safely Manufacturing Machinis Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manual machine shop or tool room department. Or Preferred Experience as described below.
- Must be able to read blueprints and work instructions in English.
- Must have the knowledge of and be able to use all measuring devices to ensure the quality of the manufactured components Physical requirements for Manufacturing Machinist are listed below but not limited to:
- Standing
- Frequent/Intermittent Up to 8 hours per day.
- Walking
- Occasionally/Intermittent Up to 8 hours per day.
- Sitting
- Occasionally/Intermittent. Lifting
- Up to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally/Intermittent. Carrying up to 50 lbs.
