Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Precision Sheetmetal Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and inspecting precision sheet metal components used across various industries. Your expertise in machine operation, technical drawing interpretation, and quality measurement will ensure the production of high-quality, accurate parts that meet strict safety and industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced fabrication equipment and contribute to innovative projects in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Operate a variety of sheet metal fabrication machinery including press brakes, Punch presses, CNC Water Jet to produce precision components. Set up and calibrate machinery ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to accurately produce parts. Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other measuring instruments for quality control purposes. Conduct welding, forming, and assembly processes to complete fabricated parts according to project requirements. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety standards in production and handling hazardous materials responsibly. Troubleshoot machine issues promptly and perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime. Experience Proven experience operating manufacturing machinery such as CNC Press Brake, Punch press, Water Jet, welding equipment, and forming machines. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately. Familiarity with shop math and basic math skills essential for precise measurement and fabrication tasks. Knowledge of safety standards related to machine operation, metal fabrication, and material handling. Experience with precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, micrometer gauges, and other measuring instruments used in quality inspection. Ability to set up machining tools efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and quality requirements. Prior work in sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
