Job Description

CNC Machinist Specialist

Fremont, CA Schedule:

Monday

•Friday 1st

5:00 AM

•1:30 PM 2nd

Operator:

$20.00

•$27.00 / hour

Set Up:

$30.00

•$35.00 / hour

Experience Required:

2-3+ years of CNC Machinist experience

Key Responsibilities Laser Operation:

Set up and safely operate TRUMPF tube laser equipment to manufacture precision metal components according to engineering drawings and work orders.

Material Handling:

Load/unload raw materials and finished parts; verify material type, size, and thickness prior to production.

Quality & Inspection:

Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools. Maintain production logs and material documentation.

Process Optimization:

Monitor cut quality, make necessary machine adjustments, and maintain required production rates while meeting quality standards.

Maintenance & Safety:

Perform routine cleaning, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in accordance with safety standards. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational background. Prior experience operating CNC laser equipment (TRUMPF tube laser experience preferred) or working in metal fabrication/manufacturing. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing specs. Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of CNC machine operations, basic dimensions, and tolerances. Position Requirements Proficiency with standard inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges). Basic computer skills for accurate production reporting and documentation. Physical capability to stand for extended periods and safely lift/move raw materials and components. Strong communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
