Essential Duties and Responsibilities Utilize Engineer program data via a storage device installed into the CNC to program mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; and proving part programs. Set up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vises; and tramming heads. Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reviewing mechanical drawings and other documentation. Prepare test runs to verify that machines produce outputs according to specifications. Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces while adhering to applicable standards. Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting operations, including turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting controls; replacing worn tools; and adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes. Adhere to all quality standards and safety procedures, recognizing unsafe situations and taking appropriate corrective action. Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure proper functionality. Operate a forklift to retrieve materials for projects to be cut on CNC equipment. Operate a forklift to load and unload materials and components onto and from trucks. Qualifications and Experience Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Machinist required. Must have hands-on experience setting up and operating milling machines. Must have experience operating Okuma CNC equipment. Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Experience using precision measuring tools and equipment. Competencies High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Effective verbal, listening, and communication skills. Demonstrates a sense of urgency and the ability to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong mechanical aptitude. Good math skills.

Pay and Benefits Pay Range:

$22.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule:

Full time, Monday through Thursday 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM (overtime on Fridays as needed). 4/10 schedule
