$27 - $29 per hour Job Details - Are you a seasoned machinist with a knack for solving complex manufacturing problems? Do you have a passion for working with cutting-edge machinery and technology? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Consulting Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role will involve working on a variety of projects, utilizing a range of high-tech machinery to produce precision parts and components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machine operation, quality control, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, machine programming, lathe operation, mill operation, and possess excellent mathematical and mechanical skills.
Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Machinist, your responsibilities will include: 1. Operating and maintaining a variety of CNC machines to produce precision components. 2. Performing quality control checks to ensure all parts meet our high standards. 3. Troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the manufacturing process. 4. Programming machines for specific tasks, ensuring maximum efficiency and accuracy. 5. Operating lathes and mills to produce parts as per specifications. 6. Utilizing mathematical skills to calculate dimensions and tolerances. 7. Applying mechanical skills to assemble, disassemble and repair machinery. 8. Providing expert advice and consultation on complex machining projects. 9. Collaborating with the engineering team to develop and implement innovative manufacturing processes. 10. Continually updating knowledge of new technology and machinery to improve production efficiency.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Consulting Machinist role, candidates must have: 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience working as a machinist in a manufacturing environment. 2. Proven experience with CNC machine operation, lathe operation, and mill operation. 3. Strong knowledge of quality control processes and equipment maintenance. 4. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues. 5. Proficiency in machine programming. 6. Excellent mathematical skills, with the ability to calculate dimensions and tolerances. 7. Strong mechanical skills, with the ability to assemble, disassemble, and repair machinery. 8. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively. 9. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team. 10. A commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment. 11. A high school diploma or equivalent. A degree in a relevant field or a machinist certification would be a plus.
