Job Description

The CNC Milling Machinist sets up, operates, and optimizes Fanuc-controlled CNC mills, Haas vertical machining centers, and Haas UMC 5-axis machining centers to manufacture high-precision components . This role performs complete machine setups, verifies dimensional accuracy using precision inspection equipment, troubleshoots tooling and machining issues, and maintains production and quality documentation while adhering to AS9100, ITAR, and company standards.

  • 9:30pm, M-F Qualifications, Skills, and Experience High School diploma or equivalent qualification required. Associate of Applied Science, (AAS) in Machining preferred Minimum 2
  • 3 years of CNC milling experience in a precision manufacturing environment, aerospace or defense industry experience preferred Experience operating and setting up 3
  • 4• and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
Experience with Fanuc Robodrill and Lathe, a plus Working knowledge of G-code and M-code programming. Fanuc Robodrill experience is a plus Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T. Experience using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and indicators. Experience performing complete machine setups, tooling changes, and fixture installations. Familiarity with CMM and/or VCMM inspection systems preferred. Knowledge of machining aerospace materials including aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and nickel alloys preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality craftsmanship. Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with a commitment to continuous improvement Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment while sharing technical knowledge and best practices Experience using ERP/MRP systems to complete production documentation. Work Environment Manufacturing environment setting has some exposure to noise, dust, coolants, and temperature variations.. Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to perform repetitive hand movements and operate machine controls. Ability to visually inspect parts and read precision measuring instruments. ITAR The business site where this position is located is an ITAR-compliant operation .   • 4• and 5-axis CNC milling machines Perform complete machine setups including fixture installation, tooling selection and set-up, work offsets, and tool wear adjustments Verify CNC programs and perform first-piece verification prior to production Machine and monitor complex components to tight tolerances while meeting quality and production requirements Read and interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements Perform in-process and final inspection using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, indicators, and other inspection equipment to verify dimensional accuracy Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and program issues to improve quality, efficiency, cycle time, an productivity Maintain accurate production, quality, inspection records using ERP/MRP systems as required Ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR, safety, and internal quality standards Collaborate with engineering and quality on process improvements
