EBA&D products & capabilities set the U.S. standard and are highly sought after in the international community. EBA&D seeks a qualified candidate for the position of Manual Machinist , reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor. The position is for 1st or 2nd shift and is located in Moorpark, CA. The position is responsible for fabricating precision-machined parts by setting up and operating Manual or CNC mills and lathes per work orders, routers, & blueprints.
Responsibilities:
Ability to evaluate blueprints and develop a machining strategy. Identify tooling to machine hardware. Create work holders or fixtures used to machine hardware. Verifying parts by using precision measuring equipment. Changing tools and offsets based on cutting conditions when running CNC. Using proper methodology and cutting tools to produce quality parts that adhere to production and quality standards. Using proper feeds, speeds, and other cutting parameters based on work piece material such as aluminum, steel, stainless steel, titanium, etc. Re-machining parts based on engineering or production required changes. Participate in troubleshooting for production related issues on the shop floor. Being able to machine prototype hardware with limited supervision. Other similar or related duties as required. Deburr parts when necessary.
Requirements :
5 years minimum experience setting up and running manual mills and lathes. Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. CNC experience a plus Experience machining titanium, stainless, aluminum, plastics and other std aerospace materials. ESPRIT, Master Cam programming software experience a plus. Knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading and inspection tools Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Be able to communicate technical instructions with engineering department. Work with little or no supervision, previous lead experience a plus. Minimum High school education or equivalent. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate with others effectively in both written and verbal fashion. Must be able to meet all ITAR and BATFE background requirements
Compensation:
Salary Range:
$60,000 - $90,000 per year. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
