We are searching for a professional who excels in CNC turning, machine setup, G-code modification, and working with tight tolerances within a low-volume or custom production setting. Please note that this position involves complex, non-repetitive tasks; you will be expected to handle your own setups, make necessary adjustments, and ensure high-quality output independently. Primary Duties Configure, program, and run CNC turning centers . Modify offsets and initiate program restarts during cycles to ensure operational efficiency. Produce and verify large shafts and cylindrical components to meet strict ±.001 tolerance requirements. Analyze and translate technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications . Utilize precision measuring instruments, gauges, and micrometers to conduct thorough in-process quality checks. Update and refine G-code programming to optimize machining performance. Ensure consistent part accuracy to help maintain high manufacturing standards for the entire facility. Required Skills and Experience At least 2 years of professional CNC lathe turning experience. At least 2 years of background in conventional machining . Proven expertise in program adjustments, offsets, and machine setup . Proficiency in G-code programming and editing. Familiarity with FANUC or similar control interfaces (Siemens is an added bonus). Advanced capability in interpreting blueprints and utilizing measurement tools. Background in machining large shafts or cylindrical parts is strongly desired. Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve tight tolerances of ±.001 to ensure product excellence. Must successfully complete a hands-on machining assessment before starting.
