Full Job Description Overview:
ZoNexus LLC develops tools for transmission electron microscopes (TEM), scanning electron microscopes (SEM), Focused Ion Beam microscopes (FIB) and other microscopy- and spectroscopy-related instruments. ZoNexus's R D and manufacturing facilities are located in Richmond, California. We are also beginning to provide contract machining services. We are seeking a CNC Machinist to join our dynamic engineering and manufacturing team. We will consider senior applicants as well as recent graduates from trade schools. Compensation and responsibilities will be based on the candidate's experience.
Required Qualifications and job responsibilities:
Program, set up and machine using multi axis machining centers for a high-mix low-volume setting. Proficiency in both CAD and CAM software. Autodesk Fusion and Hexagon Espirit are the preferred software CAM and training will be offered if needed. Ability to inspect own, and others work using precision inspection equipment such as micrometers, bore gauges, pin gauges, measuring microscopes, etc. Interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills. Safe and proficient operation of manual machines. Order tools as required and maintain a clean shop. Perform preventative maintenance as needed.
Other desired skills/experience:
Experience working with ±0.005mm (±0.0002") tolerances. Experience with 5-axis, mill/turn, multitasking or other advanced machines. Experience with programming and operation of Wire-EDM machines. Experience in a production setting. Experience in using Swiss-type lathes. Hands-on experience in other fabrication techniques such as soldering, brazing and welding. Experience with design for manufacture, prototyping, and product design Experience with handling and assembling of very small parts. Knowledge about vendors for purchasing parts and materials.
