In the 1960's our parts were on the Apollo Spacecraft, and today you will find our connectors on the ORION Mission to Mars. We are family owned, AS9100D Certified, and located in Claremont. The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. This role ensures that parts meet strict quality standards and tolerances while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Duties Setup Ganesh and Cubic Mill/Turn CNC multi spindle, live tooling machines Setup and operate CNC mills, lathes, or other CNC equipment. Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machining operations. Perform part inspections using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, comparators, CMM). Adjust machine controls, tooling, and work offsets to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy. Monitor machine operations and detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions; take corrective action as needed. Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning. Document production and inspection results. Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times. Requirements High school diploma or GED; technical certification or vocational training preferred. 5 plus years of CNC machining experience (or as required by the employer). Strong knowledge of CNC machine setup, tooling, and operation. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Proficient with precision measuring tools. Basic understanding of G-code programming is a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
EOE Pay:
$24.00 - $31.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
