Shift Timing:
Standard Shift Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Machinist Technician to set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment, perform complex setups, create and modify CNC programs, and support tooling fabrication and testing activities. The ideal candidate will have strong machining, inspection, blueprint interpretation, and CNC programming skills. Roles & Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machines including 4-axis mills and plasma tables. Set up and operate manual machines including lathes and 3-axis mills. Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds based on work instructions. Perform complex setups requiring multiple fixtures and work holding strategies. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensions. Review and validate blueprints to ensure they are complete and contain all information needed for manufacturing. Create efficient and accurate CNC programs from provided CAD files. Perform modifications and retrofits to existing parts and tools. Support tool and test engineers during tooling fabrication, assembly, functional and testing activities. Interface with internal and external machine/fabrication shops. Minimum Qualifications High School Graduate or equivalent. Experience with CNC and manual machine setup, including loading tools, setting offsets, and mounting fixturing. Proficiency with CAD software; Inventor preferred. Proficiency with CNC programming; Inventor CAM preferred. Proficiency with precision measuring instruments. Must be able to understand schematics and mechanical drawings. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interface with various cultures and at all levels of the organization. Must be available to work occasional weekends and nights as required in support of critical project milestones. Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Must pass a background check. Preferred Qualifications/Experience Minimum of 5 years' experience in machining, manufacturing, or related field. Minimum of 5 years' experience in Mechanical/Dimensional inspections. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift loads up to 50 lbs.
