Key responsibilities:
Set up, operate and program CNC milling and turning machines. Machine complex, high-performance metal components and optimise toolpaths, tooling and cutting parameters. Read aerospace drawings, 3D models and GD&T. Use CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360 or SolidWorks. Inspect parts using CMMs, micrometers, calipers and bore gauges. Troubleshoot issues such as chatter, tool wear, thermal distortion and tolerance drift. Carry out secondary processes such as finishing and EDM. Create machining documentation, setup sheets and control plans. Work with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams on continuous improvement and aerospace quality standards.
Ideal candidate:
Strong CNC programming and machining experience. Good understanding of GD&T, technical drawings and precision measurement. Experience with CAD/CAM. Background in aerospace or other high-tolerance manufacturing preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and safe use of workshop tools. Welding and forklift experience are advantageous but not essential.
Pay:
