Job Description
Company Overview RivCut is a precision CNC machining shop in Union City, CA, serving aerospace, defense, medical, and robotics customers on a build-to-print model with a full Haas machine fleet. We hold ourselves to aerospace-grade quality standards and are actively working toward AS9100D certification. Job Summary We're hiring one Senior Prototype Machinist, and we're only looking for the best. This is a lead-track role : the person we bring on will grow into building and running their own team on the shop floor as RivCut scales. If you take real pride in tight-tolerance work and want a genuine path to leadership rather than just another seat on the floor, this role is built for you.
Pay:
$35 to $50 per hour , depending on experienceSchedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Responsibilities- Set up and run CNC mills and lathes (Haas) to produce prototype and low-volume production parts to print
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, including GD&T callouts, with zero ambiguity
- Hold tight tolerances on difficult materials and complex geometries with minimal oversight
- Inspect your own work using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM as needed
- Troubleshoot setup and process issues on the fly to keep jobs moving
- Partner with engineering on manufacturability feedback for new designs
- Mentor and, over time, lead a growing team of machinists as RivCut adds headcount What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of hands-on prototype or low-volume CNC machining experience
- Strong GD&T and blueprint reading skills
- Comfortable running Haas controls
- A track record of holding tight tolerances without hand-holding
- Someone who wants to grow into a leadership role, not just run a machine
- CAM programming experience is a plus but not required

RivCut performs build-to-print work for aerospace and defense customers and is registered for export-controlled work.
