Lathe Machinist Job Description We are seeking a skilled machinist to set up and operate medium-sized CNC lathes, including both barfeeders and turret lathes, specifically OKUMA and
NAKAMURA
models.

1st shift: 7:00am
- 3:30pm, Monday
- Friday Responsibilities Set up and efficiently operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations.
Read and edit CNC programs using G codes and M codes. Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine required machining operations. Select and install appropriate cutting tools and adjust machine settings. Monitor the machining process to ensure product quality and accuracy. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications. Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to maintain product quality. Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment. Essential Skills Proficiency in CNC lathe operation and CNC machining. Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls and programming. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings. Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
