CNC Machinist Job Description As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Vertical and Horizontal Mills to meet the specific requirements for each part. You will work on multiple projects simultaneously, utilizing hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure precision in your work. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC equipment for production runs. Generate or troubleshoot CNC programs as needed. Inspect parts using measuring tools and adjust machines as required. Make tooling changes and modify tool geometry when necessary. Perform light machine maintenance, such as oiling and greasing. Maintain a clean and well-organized work area. Work independently while upholding company quality standards. Essential Skills Self-motivated with the ability to work with little or no supervision. Knowledge of G and M code. Experience with Mazatrol, Mastercam, or Fanuc controls is helpful. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Proficient in using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring instruments. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Previous experience with CNC and manual machinery. Ability to evaluate and resolve problems as they arise.
