Job Description
CNC Machinist (Direct Hire) | Night Shift Build Precision Components for Critical Industries Join a growing machining team producing large-scale, high-precision components for the aerospace, oil & gas, mining, and heavy equipment industries. We are seeking experienced CNC Machinists who can independently set up, operate, and inspect parts while maintaining tight tolerances and high quality standards. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machining centers, mills, and lathes. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions. Select and install tooling, fixtures, and workholding equipment. Perform machine offsets, tooling changes, and setup adjustments. Machine parts to specifications while holding tolerances as tight as ±0.001". Conduct in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools. Complete inspection documentation and quality records. Safely operate overhead hoists and material-handling equipment. Troubleshoot machining and quality issues as needed. Maintain a safe and organized work environment. Qualifications Required Previous experience setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes. Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T. Experience using precision measuring equipment. Ability to perform machine setups and tooling changes independently. Experience holding tight machining tolerances. Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude. Preferred Fanuc controls experience. CNC programming knowledge. Experience machining large or heavy-equipment components. Manual machining experience. Experience with overhead cranes or hoists. Schedule Night Shift Monday
